230,000 k.m.

Interior is stripped as I was going to use it for a track car, that dream died when I got t-boned. I do have the brown dash, console, seats, front floor carpets, that's it. I have a few ppl interested in it, mainly from the Alberta area. The car doesn't leak, mechanically it's awesome, the front air dam is.. well, it's an '84 so it's not in the best of shape but I'm willing to sell the car with 2 sets of rims (1 phone dial, one near mint cookie cutters), the upgraded 951S sway bars (26.8 mm front/18 mm rear) the bra, the foglights, the speakers, stock steering wheel and no seat covers all for $2000. I can get you the parts you need to fix the car for dirt cheap too. Along with a fibreglass front end, boxed rockers, rear valance. you name it.

Me and a friend are considering splitting the cost of the car, and buying it from you. I think you mentioned it still drives? I would bring a spare wheel to replace that rear passenger one before taking it on the highway though, I would feel much better driving on all good wheels.

Is the front air dam all cracked up, or is it just sagging like the old ones do?
How are the fog lights?

It looks like the B pillar is very very twisted. I have some plans for this car though.

230,000km's isn't that bad, my 86 is at 260,000, and still going pretty strong.
How's the transmission doing? Is it original? Any driveability problems?

If you have most of the interior parts, then I'm definately interested.
I'll PM you with my offer =)

The front air dam is sagging and is cracked, part of the lip is actually missing. the fog lights are new 3rd party, very very bright. the b pillar, tough to say the condition as I haven't even opened the p.s door, might not get it closed. But make no mistake I will not lie about anything with this car, I will be very upfront. The tranny is great, reverse is.. sticky, everything else is fine, the car has no e-brake.. thought I should mention that, needs a new cable.

I have all interior parts except the actual carpeting. I have all the leather pieces and such, the backseat and the seat belts.

BUMP, I am possibly considering parting the car.. or just selling the entire thing to a junkyard, depending on demand and how much I can get for all the parts, I'll see which is greater and go from there

Do you have the shift ****? Also what kind of condition are the seats in? We need to know if you are parting it out or not. I say part as much as you can then sell it to a junkyard. It has some good parts on it still.

Pfft. Ask what you want for the car...who cares what some people think.

As for prices, you can look and see what others have sold used parts for and base it off of that...or you can look up the new price and adjust accordingly. (I can help do some of that research if you need me to. I'm in the process of restoring an '87 that has been very badly abused, so I'll be doing the research anyway...)

Personally, I don't think 1400 would be that bad for that car. The damage isn't THAT bad...If I had the money right now, I'd definitely buy this car from you for a parts car. I don't see the problem with that price.

The hardest part of parting it out will be taking the car apart and shipping it all out, but in the end, you'll have a good chunk of change.

I imagine so and if this last buyer does fall thru then I will part it out for 6-7 months then just "junk" the rest!

I think I am that 'last buyer'?
I was about to write you slowazzporsche, but perhaps you are still checking this thread.

I lost my 86 944 to an engine fire monday. So, we'll be taking my friend's car up there, and the car will be in my name instead of in his. Not a big change of plans.

I am _hoping_ to make it up on saturday. Please understand the condition of the highways is what is keeping this from being a sure thing.
Let me know if saturday is alright with you, and if so, what time would be best. I can't come up on sunday, it's my G/F's birthday, and after the trip to new york, I can't miss this

If saturday is no good for you, remember that I am still trying to make it up there to buy this car from you, and that I am still serious about this, and perhaps we can arrange another time.
