Hey, Matt there is a 924 in our local u-pull, let me see what they want for it, and if it has any play...

Maybe some of you have thought of it, maybe you haven't, but I just cut and welded tie rods for my late manual conversion on my track car instead of hunting for expensive/unobtanium parts. I was able to get an intermediate shaft with my current manual rack, but I've already looked at cutting and welding that as well if I can't get another one.

i'm not sure what zims charges for the cup rods, but the place where i saw them had them for $40 used or $82.50 new(reproduction, i think andial). i could just weld onto the factory ones but i'm not sure what shape mine are in now after plenty of miles and i'm thinking maybe i'm better off getting the repro ones. the thought of a weld snapping on a tie rod and me loosing the ability to steer scares the crap out of me. the official porsche part goes for $170 each.

if anyone would like the part number, it's 944 347 033 03
