My 83 944 window sticker lists an option for $760. All it states on the window sticker along with the other options the car has is this, "Option Group F 37 $760.00. I checked the option plate in the hatch/trunk, no help. I have also checked a few option code sheets out there on the web for 944's, still no luck.

maybe it was a dealer add on???? Whatever it is?

It's the second option listed on the Sticker, not a separate listing. It comes right after the Sport seats listing on the sticker and then the other factory options are listed after this option. I don't think it is a dealer option.

Does your 83 have power steering, sways, cruise control, etc. I think that some dealers added a "silent dealer added package" (i.e. mats, undercoating, fog light protectors, etc) for some of the 83's as it was a new desireable model. It might have been a way to bump the mark-up a bit. What listed options are shown on your option code sticker under the hatch? I've found from other 83 folks on RL that the option code tag never seems to match completley with the accessories on the car. Nowhere does my car say P/S or electric windows.

The "option group" is probably going to include two or more options whose individual codes would be on the sticker in the back. Since it is "only" $760, it might be a collection of less-significant items. Does your car have the center arm rest/cassette tray? That was optional. If you have that and it is not listed on the sticker, maybe it was part of a group of a few other little niceities... Look for things like that to hopefully direct your search..
