Has anybody ever heard of www.americancollectorsins.com? They just quoted me $188yr. for insurance on both of my Porsches...87 924S and 85 944.

This coverage includes:

300,000 uninsured/bodily
declared value of 6K for the 924S and 4K for the 944. Both vehicles will have $250 comp and collision deductables....with 2500 miles per year.

Does this sound way too low or what?

That's in the "normal" range for collector insurance.

I pay less for the Lotus.

That gives me 2500 mile per year....I drive 800 or less.

They also have a 5000 mile/year plan for 20% more. With a 20% good drivers discount I can get liablity and comp w/$500 deductible on both of my cars for $285/year. If the quote holds up I'll switch in a heartbeat. That's an unbelieveable price for California.
