On the brighter side (literally)... it's different and seems to be tastefully and accurately done. I bet that was no small task. Different strokes for different folks.. you still have to appreciate the amount and quality of work, even if it does not suit your taste.

The mirror glass must add another 800 pounds to that car! Yikes...what a waste of a classic!

Maybe the builder thought he was working on a Volkswagen Bug...!?
