Default I Need new Washer Jets for 87 944 NA?

I haven't been able to find replacement windshield washer jets for my 87. The PO put on those LED washer jets and fortunately they aren't currently wired up (ricer style). Anyhow, I want factory jets, but can't find them on any of the vendor sites or on ebay (only 83-84 style on ebay). Is this a dealer only part or do you know of a vendor that has them?

There is a dismantler who regularly puts them up on eBay (I got a used pair over this summer). The main difference between early and late was the later ones were heated. Did the PO leave the wiring for the heating element? If not, you'll need them too.

If you get them from the dealership, they'll be insanely expensive. The heated elements run about $80 - EACH IIRC. That was for my early car also. Needless to say, I'm holding out to get them elsewhere.

I was wondering what the factory looking wiring on each side was for. I couldn't come up with any reason to have wiring at those locations, but I was thinking Jeep and not European sports car . Heated washer jets, now thats class. AznDrgn, emailing you for a price.

Anyone know when power is sent to the washer jets? Are they always powered or does something make them go on?

Thanks for the help guys.

I believe they turn on when you activate the rear defroster.

On a slightly different note, are the side mirrors on the late model cars heated also? I remember reading something about that a long time ago.
