That's looking good mate!
It is a long road to get to a finished item, I think alot don't realise how much when all they see is the end product. Keep up the good work.

Slightly OT. I have a battle with speed humps here, so luckily I didn't get the DPmotorsport splitter. But you have inspired me to maybe make my own stubby/halfling speed bump avoidance version.

That gent that had the white 951 that was featured in 911&Porker World had a nice, thin splitter that did not take away much additional clearance. Do you have access to one of those? I seem to recall someone on your side of the pond was selling those...........

I have seen the car and met the guy. He has now sold that (422bhp)car. They were just a sheet of carbon (a true splitter) he doesn't do them anymore, problems with the maker I think.

Makes the side edges thicker to be more flush with the bumper, kinda like the AIR splitter.

The shape and testing is half the battle. From there, if you wanted to produce these in retail quantities, you need to find a local fiberglass specialist (possibly in the marine business) that would use your mold to produce them in quantity. Next, procure funding through pre-sales either by an exclusive contract or multiple distributorships. You'll need to do your homework on profitibility with contingencies (broken on delivery, not suitable for use, etc), marketability (who's interested, how to affordably ship, International sales) and sustainability (nobody likes a 3-month wait.) Or, try to sell the design/mold to an already established maker of aftermarket body parts (this would be the hardest sell as they could easily do it themselves if they feel the market could support it.) Looks nice so far. Good luck!

I usually use the pink insulation foam for fiberglass mock-ups. It's perfect for it, and when you're done, you can sand it a little, slap some bondo on it, and make a mould from it. I've even used the foam for making molds, just used an epoxy paint on the foam, then some mould releaser when I laid the glass, and it came out great every time.

Good idea on using it, it's truly the best way, and if it ever gets banged up or something, you can fill it with that spray foam, lol.
