I drive so much, that I devised a plan that works very well for me: When it is at 3k since the last oil change, I say "okay, as soon as I get the chance, I'll do it." ...and it's usually over 4k by the time I do.. ..a couple times 5k . . . but it's Mobil 1. 
As long as it's still clear on the stick, I don't get nervous..
