It'll be fine. Do not take it to a normal body shop, no matter how much the Buick or Dodge person who recommends it says they do good work, and no matter how much the normal body shop claims to "do cars like that all the time". Take it to a specialist, someone who does restorations on Porsches specifically. Take your time in finding someone. Talk to local PCA people, and judge their recommendations based on their own cars and their own personal traits. Ask the concours winner where he gets is nose panel touched up, and go there.

That's not too bad. Find a good body shop and get it fixed. Shop around, parts are not too hard to come by for this repair. Chin up, fix it up, we've seen far worse.

That doesn't look bad at all.
Have you got any daylight pics of the car? What blue is that? Copenhagen Blue? I love it!

I'd fix it and keep it. That is much too beautiful of a car to discard.

Easily fixed...Like Tifo suggested...take it to decent body shop and it will be good as new.

Sell it to me ridiculously cheap or else if you really want to fix it I have a white drivers side fender here that is in great shape. As mentioned before it's a pain to send a fender so maybe we can meet somewhere. Let me know if you want the fender.

Oh...man. That's not bad at all, it's a very good excuse to put 968 mirrors , as for the fenders it's an easy fix.

oh, one other thing, if you look at the front wheel, it was scraped a little. when i was driving the other day, i thought i felt something funny, but it may have just been the mirror flopping around or me halucinating. do you think that scrape could have caused any suspension damage?

Well, depends on how you hit. You could of messed up the aligment on the wheel or even bent something. I know when I slid into a corner in the middle of winter in my other car, I bent the arm and that had to be replaced but then again, my car won't drive straight because it was that bad driving and looking at the angle of the tire outward.

If you ever thought of the 968 upgrade, now would be the good time like rads2 said.

I know of 2 shops locally that I trust. One I believe is called "Hot Mark" in Greenfield. They just changed their name and I can't recall exactly wat it is. They were suggested to me by Bob Farmer, as the owner is an old friend of Farmer's. Bob told me that they're the best he has ever dealt with, but they are a bit on the slow side compared to the average body shop. I took the trip out there and I was impressed. The owner was happy to show me the other Porsches he was currently working on and I got the impression he really knows his work well. I don't have their number now, but give Bob a call and he can set you up. (317) 894-8185

The second place is called Connans Paint and Body Shop in Zionsville. (317)873-6530 The are who Tom Wood uses exclusively for all of their Porsche body/paint work. I had them fix some dents left by an unstable boy on a bicycle and respray my front end. It came out like new and in a timely fashion. I'm sure Hot Mark would have done a great job as well, but I needed to get my car back on the road since I had the work done in the middle of summer and I wanted to get back to driving. You might be willing to wait a bit longer for the shop in Greenfield since winter is coming. Hope this helps.
