paging SFR users: install questions
#16
Hmm...soundboy...I wonder if thats because you have a N/A. Im guessing the systems were designed on the S2. Maybe the N/A has a slight variation in setup that was overlooked?

Well, I got the right one, because it bolted right up to my '84. It took me about 15 minutes with impact tools and a professional lift - and was only 7 bolts to change out. I reused teh stock gasket for the exhaust and used a cheapo clamp from Autozone till the SFR one gets here. It's a lot louder than the mangaflow. Now I have to work out a bunch of rattles. It sounds amazing though. I got the nice weld smell in the exhaust, but that'll go away.
QUESTION:
Below the axle when teh car was up on the lift, I had about 1mm beween the axle and the muffler piping, is that okay?

it was definitely a tight squeeze for my n/a. it took a little coaxing but it did eventually fight into place. Are you installing it by yourself? i found that when fitting it on, having two people holding the exhaust makes the process a hell of a lot easier.

Well, the system sure is louder than anything I had on there before. Now I have to go through and tighten EVERY nut and bolt on teh car. After driving today, there is buzzing from all over the car. Other than that, it did open up the midrange power a lot. I was running the stock pipe with a Magnaflow welded up to the back. Teh sound is siply amazing, but it's probably about as loud as a Mustang GT with flowmasters, but it sounds better!
