So what's the final answer on this one - the color is original, but it is not a promotional car?

Sorry, I'm a little confused after reading all the posts.

Idonno... looks kinda like the normal variance between plastic and metal when painted (and original to '86). My Kalahari was noticeable under the right light, White and Black should be even worse. The sunroof if just the angle of the picture/glare (at least that's my take on it).

Actually, I normally lurk here (not a Whole lot to offer, so I tend to stay quiet) and post in OT. Alaska bit the big one after screwing us over so my wife joined the Public Health Service and they stuck us in Kayenta, AZ (Navajo Nation, 150 miles to any town with anyhting of interest) for the next couple years... the next site will probably be as bad, but in 4~5 years the Gov. will have paid off her rather substantial school loans and we'll be debt free. And I'm always looking at Porsches... my wife wants one again too, though she wants a 996 (TT.. er, okay so that's my addition :P ). Our biggest problem is that there are NO smooth roads in this town, NO covered parking and LOTS of sun, sand storms, vandalizing kids ~ not exactly a Porsche friendly enviroment. Shoot, not even friendly to my 4x4 Toyota truck! But should a good deal on a 968 (or Maybe an S2) come about, I'm watching. I'm looking for a *gasp* 'Project'... money isn't an issue durring the build, I just want something that's Mine ~ put together by me, fixed by me and customized by me. And I can't do that to a clean, stock car (and absolutly will NOT buy someone's pre-modded example).. so I'll save/restore something that's destine for parting/junking.

Pearl white with red interior? VERY pimpy to me, no matter how rare it is! My wife's aunt has a Caddilac that color!

It seems like that to me.

Welcome back, Brian! If my 968 becomes deemed for parting, I'll drop you line. The frame is bent, I'm afraid... but I'm still hoping to get her back up and running.
