aren't those ROH wheels heavier than stock by several pounds?

The ROH is heavier but they are a bigger (17 verus 16) and wider wheel. Most aftermarket wheels are heavier than the OEM rims because I think Porsche uses a lighter and more expensive alloy. I didn't like the look of the phone dials. The upgraded rims transform the look of the 951.

Bloodraven,

The ZR-6 has a round cover (with the emblem) over the lug nuts and has flat shiny polished aluminum spokes. My wheels, the ZS, are more agressive looking with exposed lug nuts (which I like) and a silver painted and curved spoke with a crease in the middle.

Where's the good part?

Torque = mass x length.
The more you raise the weight, much less the distance from the center of the wheel, the more power it will take to get it rolling/stopped. The bigger wheel is good for looks, but not going to be faster. The same weight wheel in a smaller diameter will take less torque to move as will a lighter wheel in the same diameter.
