Any Porsche mechanics near Lime Rock, CT?
I'm going to Lime Rock on Nov. 6th to run with PDA. I've been looking into towing the P-car with my Jeep but at this point I don't think it's going to work out.
So, if the worst happens and something goes wrong, does anybody know any Porsche mechanics in the area of Lime Rock which I could bring the car to for repairs?
If I can't tow it, I will drive it up and if something breaks I'll catch a ride home with some buddies and come back on the next weekend to pick it up.

OT, but who's PDA? Reason I ask is I'm in Hartford for school but am not a local so have little idea of the organizations around here, and if there's a track event, I'd like to stop by and spectate for a bit.

Will,
I'm in Durham, up off Skeet Club Road.
I drive and instruct with a number of the groups that run at Lime Rock, though not with PDA (I can give you some second hand reports about PDA, however, if you're interested). PCA, SCDA, BMW, Alfa, Ferrari. I was there with the BMW club this past Friday. Our PCA region has one more event there this fall, a two-day DE in November.
I'd be happy to fill you in on doing DE events at the track. It takes me an hour and 20 minutes to get there from Durham, no need to stay overnight up there if you don't want to. It's really a gift to have a special place like Lime Rock so close by.
I'm also a PCA tech inspector, so it'd be easy for you to get your car teched before an event.

Hey Matt
I've been to Limerock quite a bit with my fathers Ferrari 348. Ever seen it through Durham? What are the days of the events up there? I just moved back here to Durham and am not a member of the local PCA yet....can I still show up at the events?
BTW...what do you drive?

BTW, I don't know of any Porsche mechanic near the track. Lime Rock is really out in the country. There are several top notch Porsche shops in CT, but the closest I know of is upwards of an hour from the track.

PDA = Performance Drivers Association. www.pdadrivingschool.com. Unfortunately registration is filled already.
Who would you say is closest to the track? I just want to be prepared for the worst.
