Could use use those fog light areas for main driving lights? If so this might be a nice solution to my need to lose the headlights.

I'd say go with a turbo front, it'll no doubt be cheaper and it looks just as sharp IMO

Slow - I HAVE the turbo front, however, I need to lose the headlights all together. If the 968 front fogs could be used as driving lights it might kill two birds with one stone.

oops, sorry Matt.. that was directed at 944J. Why do you want to get rid of the headlights? ever thought of going with the gemballa set-up in the front? I believe in order for them to be considered driving/headlights they need to be adjustable and of a certain wattage. I know of guys with rx-7's up here that just use the fogs but I'm not sure how legal that is, of course laws are different everywhere you go. what'd the front 951 bumper cost you?

Dam* you beat me to it!

Slow - deleting the headlights gives you room to run a custom tubular header and mount the turbo on the passenger side, eliminating the crossover pipe and the a whole bunch of other stuff. This is done on a lot of 951 race cars and is really the best setup. As to the Gemballa front I hate it. I could use the Euro driving lights and blast some light but people would hate me. I could use this 968 bumper and sell my pristine 944T bumper and not have much out of pocket expense, however I am going to assume those fogs wouldnt be any higher up and I might have the same problem.

Matt, it looks to me that the bumper pictured would have to be used with a 944NA header panel. It looks like it doesn't have the curvature of the 951 front.
Compare a real 951 nose to a 951 replica nose and you'll see what I mean.

Pete, doesnt matter, I would be using a "blank" header panel. I.e. the problems with the headlights and header panel are irrelevant. I would just buy a blank panel for an NA. The bumper is FG so if it didnt fit right (and it wont) what is a little extra work making it look good?

I think main lights have to be certain height? I think the kit from (968-944na) germany is cheaper or about the same cost as a turbo conversion since you dont have to buy the

1) fenders (or cut the na's perfectly)
2) light covers
3) panel
4) bumper shocks
5) other parts to put the turbo front bumper on the NA

So, is there an American Dealer, or what's the cost to ship these from Germany?

I like the bumper, but not the lights being so tall. THey look okay with the 968 headlights, but without the headlights there it looks odd to me to have them such a bubbly shape.
