Did your oil pressuer gauge sending unit just screw right in? Since you use the VDO's, yours may have just screwed right in and you may not have nad to mess with that, I'm not sure.

Look at the oil gauge again. It's not a pressure gauge.

Do you have a picture of the vacuum line at the fuel pressure regulator also?

To drill and tap the drain plug I first got a new plug from Pep Boys in the oil plug section. You will want a 20 x 1.5mm plug. You will have to use a drill press and 10 X 1mm tap for that particular VDO oil temp sensor.

The tee at the fuel pressure regulator picks up from the tee that is already there (this is a 968 remember) not sure what the 944 has there. The large line that goes off to the left is the vacuum hose that is pushed through the grommet around the heater hoses and into the vacuum gauge.

I'd get one for $20, $30 is a little too much for me.
Group buy ?

Group buy ?
Unfortuantely volume orders do not bring the costs down as I make these by hand one by one in my garage. The only way a group buy would work is if someone would accept a single shipment of multiple units and then distribute from there. This way shipping costs could be minimized from my end and I could pass on a discount. If that is what you want to do then I'll make them for $25 each in a quantity of 5 or above shipped to a single destination. Otherwise, I think $30 is a fair price considering it is cheaper than other gauge panels out there from 9X and Lindsey Racing and vastly superior in fit and finish.

Yes, that is my white 968 in the picture link on my web site. Thanks.

Good point, I can't seem to control my frugality
I'll purchase one with the three holes within a week.
Does the $30 include s/h costs to CA?

$30 includes shipping to all points in the US.

As I stated before, I'll do custom cutouts, (or none at all) for the same price. Just add a note to the paypal or email me with the specifics and I can send you a full size CAD template so you can print it out and test before the item is made.

Also curious as to how long it takes, from the time of order, to make and ship these out?

OMG. $30 is a killer price for these. What's with the negotiation attempt?

Greimann, don't feel the least bit bad about the price you charge. It's probably too little if anything.

I could use one with a cutout for my WB. What is the procedure? Do you have a template and we give you specs? OR, can you send a blank for less than 30.00 since there is no labor? Be nice just not to have to source the right size plastic.

I try to fabricate on the weekend and during the week and ship on Fridays, so basically orders can go out in a week.

Email me offline and I can send you a PDF template. You can print and then mark it up by hand and fax or scan it and send it back. I'll CAD up a final version that you can print and verify the dimensions before the part is made.

Also, these are not plastic but 1/2" thick MDF (medium density fiberboard) and have a two stage texture/paint finish. This makes them fit flush with the sourrounding console and look like the vinyl graining.

I'm not offering a discount on a blank panel because there are still material, fabricaton and shipping costs beyond the cutouts that apply. It is also undesirable to monkey too much by cutting big openings in a finished panel because you could scar the texture or paint that would spoil the finish.
