You folks woul dbe better to jump on this one. Some minor issues, a bad window motor, a couple chips and scratches, and a tiptronic, but only 35 minutes left at $9,000 no reserve and under 100K miles.

Andy - to each his own. Some of us have made quite a killing on "cheap Porsches", depends on your ability to fix that which is wrong. At 7K I dont think there is much room to make a lot but there is PLENTY of room to make money parting it. I would feel too bad about parting one in that color with those options though.
I am starting to really want a 928, better stop looking or I might buy one.
UD, the one you posted is saddled with a liability, f*ng tiptronic. Why did they ever offer that 968 with tip? Oh yeah, to compete with Corvette.

Andy, you should have seen my car when I bought it.
Clutch, rod bearings, and straightening the fender could probably be done for under $2k. That would leave you with a gray 968 with RUF wheels for approximately $10K.
I wish I had the cash available.

For that price, it certainly isn't bad. I'd much prefer a cabriolet model, but then again, in Boston it's pretty impractical. That's a lot of mileage also, but even if it needs work you could easily recoup the cost by parting it out and keeping the engine for another project car or something. . .

I agree the Tips are easier to find. I wouldnt call it a liability though. Depends on what you intend to use the car for. If you sit in traffic for an hour a day to and from work, Id opt for a Tip. And they are much cheaper. If you want a 6spd youll have to pay for it. If it was my only Porsche I might splurge on the 6spd, but 968 Tips are so affordable now given they were darn near $50,000 cars not too long ago, the best bang for the buck probably does remain the Tip even if it sacrifices a little fun.
