Default Hot Start Problem - Leaky Injector/s?

I have a very frustrating hot start problem with my 136,000 mile, 1987 951. The car has no mods, 100% stock.

The car starts every time when cold and has no glaring drivability problems. The problem occurs when I attempt to start the car after I've stopped for less than about two hours but more than about 15 or 20 minutes. I know this is weird but I'm not sure where to start. I would really hate to go through the injector rebuild process and that NOT resolve my problem. Could it just be a sensor problem?

FPR - fuel pressure regulator may be it. IF that went bad, the car may be flooding and therefore won't start. It's easy to change and relatively cheap.

Thanks RMills. I ordered one today from 944online for $62 and should have it by mid next week. I'll post the results as soon as I replace it!

Or fuel check valve which is about a $15 part.
