Lindsey and built a custom IC duct from aluminum. Dzus the ducts to the car. The slits don't catch air as effectively as the Lindsey. Some don't like its lines, but it's the most effective at forcing air into the IC. Form or function, pick one.

Dave, If that's true then why is your car so much slower than mine?

I think you need to make another poll adding 931 vents as an option

What did you do to make the edges turn out so perfect?
Did you cut with a dremel?
Did you tape it off so the paint wouldn't chip?
How did you 'finish' the edges?

inquiring minds want to know..
tcmdocs944,

Thanks for the compliment, Pete posted the picture of my header panel.
Edges, hand file and allot of time.
Dremel, no, I used a hole saw and an air nibbler with a new bit.
I painted the whole car after I did the hood duct and the header panel.
Finish, see all of the above.

I spent 10 hours on the panel before paint. two openings or more are better to keep a little bit of stiffness in the panel. Don't try to rush, the opening has to be absolutely straight and centered. I made aluminum ducting that is sealed to the intercooler and body work.

I like the looks of several of the after market panels, but I wanted a perfect fit. I have never seen an after market panel that is perfect.
