Default Difficulty installing oilpan

I finally changed the rod bearings on my 86 turbo and I'm trying to reinstall the oil pan. The car is up on jack stands, and I have the three piece crossmember/2piece crossover pipe setup so the engine in on the motormounts. I managed to get the pan about 80% of the way back up against the block, but I can't get it to seat fully against the driver's side of the block. It will go flush against the passenger side, but it appear to hit something on the rear driver's side of the block that prevents me from fully seating it. I though at first it might be the oil return tube, but i felt around with my fingers and that seems to clear fine. I did manage to muscle it on a bit further, but I didn't think that it needed to be jammed on. I have the early style pan baffle and the lindsey weld in baffle if that would make a difference. Am I missing something? Thanks.

They can be a pain to put on even on an engine stand. It should fit, but keep working at it and don't force it.
