So i just replaced my distributor cap because it melted, the next day, my coolant expansion tank is leaking!!! BLAH!!! just a rant, couldn't it have waited just a few more days???

Dude, ive had it alot worse than that.

my first car, a 1990 saab 9000 turbo (210k miles), these things all happened within 5 months

all engine mounts tore because of age
vacuum leaks sprung up everwhere
shift coupler broke
tranny started whining
signal housing cracked
dash cracked
clutch slave cylinder went bad, required removing entire drivetrain and clutch replacement, took me 2 weeks
window switchpack got water on it and failed
headlight relay failed
computer went bad
top engine mount broke because i forgot to install a bolt, caused fuel rail to bend and engine mount bracket to break, needed to weld bracket because no replacement available and bent fuel rail back, new injectors and new computer
cv boot tore requiring me to replace cv joint/repack

I can beat you to that on my 1984:

-first dead battery
-clutch throwout bearing binded with disc right after putting in new battery
-after new clutch replacement, water pump pisses coolant all over the floor
-after water pump, replaced fuel pressure regulators and damper..

now for the 1986 I have now:
-first a timing belt
-sunroof sh*tted and doesn't work, paid $100 bucks to try to fix it but only got it to unlock in the first ignition key position
-coolant expansion tank leaking and needed replacement so i got a brand new one
-brake master cylinder now leaking and needs replacement
-replaced shocks in front and new springs
-replaced sway bars and a bent sway bar mount.
-repaint

need I say more? I've had the car for 7 months....
