Default Rebuilding injectors

Has anyone ever come across a good write-up for rebuilding the injectors. I have a set of late ones that I would like to try to re-do myself. I have already done the o-rings and caps on my 84 and my mother-in-laws 85.5. The ones that I have that came off of my 88, I changed the o-rings and hat's and they still are not working right.

There's not much else you can do to them unless you have a flow tester and ultrasonic cleaner.

Basically the only thing you can do to the injectors is to replace the little filter at the inlet of the injector. The only other thing that can be done is to put them in a cleaner solution and ultrasonically clean them while opening and closing the injector valves. Look for a diesel shop that cleans injectors. Ask for a shop that uses the ASNU process. You can also look it up on the web. Typically shops charge about $25 or so per injector.
