Hmm. does sound like it would be good to have someone who knew what to do. But if we had a good amount of people, with collected knowledge, and your computer with rennlist handy.. it may be possible still.

I should have next saturday free. Anyone else available? I'm pretty flexible.

balance shafts can be a B**ch because u have to make sure they can spin freely cause if they are not lined up right and u tightened the bolt then it won't spin. this is what i have experienced

Hey guys you can do the balance shaft and timing after the motor is in the car....Its better on a stand, but you can always bring it to someone to adjust the timing and balance shaft belts.. Red.

Eric,
I'm also not the expert that you're looking for and have never done this job on a P-car, but am mechanically inclined and might be able to spend part of next Saturday helping out.

I already got the part that replaces the broken part and it looks like a simple enough job... I may even get it done before next saturday, but I dotn know how to put the belts on or how to tighten them or anything... alright if we can start getting a list of people that definately want to come we should meet up around 11ish... I really hope we can figure it out... bring all the tools you have that you think may help, including a torque wrench... I appreciate this again guys.. let me know who can make it.. again I'm in MIDDLETON, MA, its exit 51 off of 95
