Default That awesome red car in Magnum, P.I.

I thought that I would throw in my two cents to the normal 944 tv/movie sightings. I have been a Magnum P.I. fan since its original days in primetime, and always loved the Ferrari. Lately I have been tivo'ing the series daily and watching the reruns b/c new tv lately is so bad. Two episodes in the last several weeks have shown another awesome red sports car, yes the 944...........I'll keep watching for more.

Ferrari 308. Pretty cool car for its time, though KITT had much more personality.

Why post with a fiero base gto replica when you can see the real thing? Its one of my favorite designs of all time (308/328) though my wife think the car looks like a pointy uncomfortable woman's shoe/slipper. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6212

No no no, this is the real thing: Magnum PI car from season one. It was on eBay earlier this year -- the highest bid was only $60K and never sold. I believe KIT was also up for sale this year.

For $100K, it had better come with the girl that Magnum was helping to swim (in the opening of each show).

The show is what, 20 years old now? Are you sure you still want that girl with the car?

I'm 75% sure the Daytona was a Corvette Chassis. The Testarossa was a one off custom replica. I have a R&T article showing the shop of the guy the built both of them. I don't recall a Fiero chassis being used, nor a Ferrari one.

Remember the movie Bedazzled with Brendon Frazier and Elizabeth Hurley? That was a replica Diablo the movie studio had made, not a Fiero either, far from cheap. Sometimes I wonder why they don't just use a real one.
