Oh boy.... this is going to be a long list...
on the 968:
* finish the fight with the insurance company so I can move on
* get a quote on straightening the frame -- still hoping it's repairable
* possibly start parting it out...
on the Turbo S
* find new burgandy dash, shifter and screw hole cover
* fix seat motors
* replace all hoses under hood
on the 944S3
* get off my *** and go get that replacement tranny
* manual rack conversion
* lose some weight
* make it California-legal

install many of the parts in my sig, cause some of them are still in my room...
Right now I'm searching for a 240 SX daily driver...
Next on the list, WILL be Bilstein escort cup setup... along with terret engineering sways front and rear http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchan...e=944SUSESCORT
after this there is Autopower street sport roll bar http://www.livermoreperformance.com/...ll%20Bars.html
and wheels, very likly to be BBS LM's, though I'm not to fond of their weight. next on the list will be 968 mirrors, handles, euro driving lights, 968 turbo RS (i think its the RS one) adjustable wing, plus some other minor apearance things
after that, I'll have ro re-asses my financial situation at that time and see what more i can do, but theres lots else that will be done.

Tony K - you need to come up and run my rally in January! Son of Sno*Drift VII is planned for 1/8/05. Details will be available at the Detroit SCCA website about mid-November.
If you plan to use your Porsche - you'd better have good winter tires and an LSD.

I *almost* entered the Son of Sno*Drift the past couple of years, just found myself too busy. Did the Ohio Winter Rally instead. I have had a great experience with Blizzak WS-50 tires on the 944 in 205/60/15. I might replace a pair this year, as the rears are near the 1/2 wear marks... what do you think?
...I think this year will have to be the year that I try Son of Sno*Drift...
Harry,
Thanks for sharing your experiences with POR-15. Said car is the Lancia, of course (Lotus is fiberglass, and frame is in great shape).
I heard all kinds of stories about POR 15 not adhering well to anything but lightly rusted metal. What have your experiences been with it adhering to bare white metal and primered surfaces?
Cheers,

i spent my whole summer doing on what i should have done during the winter. Oh well at least this winter i am going to get my car ready to show condition and detail everything. It is getting repainted and everything in the engine polished.

Cheers,
Let me know if you need a deal on Hakkas - I am a "dealer".
Come on up for Son of Sno* regardless of your tire choice. I think you'll have a good time.

During winter, nothing... have to store the car in a place where I can't work on it. During spring however I'll have to figure out where it's leaking oil (strongly suspecting the fill tube / air-oil seperator seals), and why the oil pressure drops to ~3 bars @ 5000 rpm on the track....

Going to my first dyno Saturday and Monday the car is coming off the road to get a start on the winter stuff since I still have not insulated my garage:
1986 951 with stock suspension
1) off come the front 160 pound springs in go 200# to 300# springs with adjustable ride height perches
2) koni sport struts from Paragon, probably strut mounts also
3) rear koni sport shocks
4) bigger torsion bars in the rear. SHould drink alot of beer during this one. Maybe bushings back there also.
5) replace the 17 year old rubber brake lines
6) some front brake cooling ala 968 scooping from Frozen rotors
7) paint the three remaining Phone dials Anthracite.

Depending what the gas prices are I might be driving it for the winter(on days when the roads ar clear). If they drop a little bit I plan to Paint my wheels, detail the interior and exterior, and if I have the time I would like to rebuild or replace the engine.
