Hi all,
Been doing some work on the '44 recently and decided to get rid of the nasty carpet round the gear shift area. The base is cut from a very common item that you would find in most hardware stores......the **** itself is a uviversal fitting one $12 from ebay - total cost of this modification - about $20 !
I think it updates the interior nicely. Now if anyone wants to know more just ask and I might do a step by step for this one.
While you're looking in, can you all have a look at my other posts - I need help with my wheels ( what spacers to use etc 52mm offset cups to go on an '83 n/a ? )
Cheers
Joe

its a nice job
but I have to say it simply does not go
I think the metal makes it like well, home made, if it was covered with OEM material, hmm maybe.
but what was wrong with just getting the original part ?
anyway,
kudos to you, you gave it a try
