Yeah, his is mounted on shocks. Like I said though it isn't meant to be.

Okay, now is $150 as good a deal as I'm thinking? I'm guessing lights will be sort of expensive.

The turbo front is only about $1000, and if this is over $500, I may as well go with the turbo front.

$150 seems to be the going price -- that's what I recently paid for one recently, but I have yet to bother installing it (need to get lighting, new shocks, and get it painted). I picked it up on a whim, figuring I can probably sell it for around the same price. There's a guy on eBay selling the lights right now -- no wiring, or bulbs, just the driving light lenses. I heard he somehow ended up with a huge pile of them in the states.

Well, I told him to go ahead and sell the euro bumper - it's in the classifieds. I need the valance panel more than the bumper itself. I'll probably go for the turbo front eventually - for now, I"m not sure.
I still want to do a GT-Racing 1 piece front clip, but I'm not sure about doing that either.

I have the gt racing rear bumper that is similar to the euro rear bumper in the length it sticks out. How do i mount that? Could I use shorter front shocks from another 951 for the back? Or do I have to shorten the back shocks? If so, how? Thanks

I believe that one is meant to be mounted on the stock shocks without modification.

RMills,
If it's aluminum, than I bet (99% sure) that it's the M058 bumper.
Acquiring lights will be nearly impossible - ask me how I know. I spent two months, and my budget was not a limitation (insurance reimbursement). I ended up sourcing them from a US soldier in Germany who was willing to go to a junk yard for me... not the easiest source!

It's a nice bumper though.

Thanks X-ray! Looks like I may be going turbo!!
I really need the header panel (hopefully 931) more than a bumper, so I may just switch to a turbo front and go with that. I found one, I just need to wait for the funding to come in.
anyone want to aponsor me in my ongoing restoration?

I can't wait to see pics! I love front end modifications to these cars; everything else is perfect (in my opinion) so the front end needs some attention on NAs.

The 931 header panel won't work with a turbo nose. Not without a lot of bodywork.

OH, I know. I'm saying I'm going to do one of those 2 things. I'll get a 931-type header panel if I get the turbo front. I really like the LIndsey Racing stage V header - cool and good price.

Has anyone ever heard of speedzekeracing parts? I think they just sell GT-Racing parts and AIR parts, but I'm not sure. The site is speedzekeracing.com

The 951 splitter part # is AI-944-xxxx. This makes me think it's the AIR splitter. They have a 924 GT front end, 951 fronts, and numurous others that they claim you need no mods to install. The fit doesn't look the best from their pictures.

Hey, I thought once about someday going the turbo/S2 route for the front too, but then I noticed that the very front part of the fender seems to be different as well. Wouldn't one have to also change the fenders to convert to a turbo/S2 nose? Sorry for getting a little off track.

Back on track, I do agree that the euro bumper look a lot better. Pity about the difficulty in sourcing the lights though.

Thanks,

Allan
