I noticed that at night when the lights are on I can see a light shining from up in the dash onto the passenger's feet . I removed the glove box and found a bulb (that lights) just dangling there. Anybody know where this goes?

No. the glove box light is attached. This is a different bulb that is dangling to the left of the glove box.

Has it fallen out the side of the cigarette lighter?

Yes, it plugs into the right hand side of the cigarette lighter. On mine I can see it if I have the lights on and take out the lighter element.

It's the same small bulb as used in a multitude of places (headlight switch, clock, ash tray), but can't remember the part number off the top of my head.
