If I start my 924 when the engine is warm, it won't rev up. Only after idling for a while it rev up but misfire a lot. After driving a few kms its fine again.

I took it to the local agents and they told me its the warmup regulator that does not work resulting in no or low fuel pressure. They can replace the regulator at a price of ZAR7000.

Can anyone offer a cheaper option please?

pull a WUR from an audi 5000 in a junk yard. here in the states they run about $10 from a wrecker and they work great in the 924, they even have the vaccum line for high speed enrichment.

Thanks for the advice, which Audi is called the 5000 in the states we've got a 500 here is that the same car? What years did they came out?

The warm up regulator is fitted to all models (according to Haynes Manual), its a pressure valve that drop the fuel pressure wich cause a richer mixture at cold startup.
