Default Clunking noise from left rear 944S2 CAB

I am experiancing a clunking or knocking noise from the left rear of my 944S2 CAB. Seem to be coming fom the wheel area. I have replaced the CV joints and axles on both sides. Seems to happen at start up speeds and seems to go away as speed increases or after car has been driven for awhile. Sometimes will go away if I barke hard after startup. Any ideas where to look next.

Check to make sure the nuts on the CV units are tight. They often loosen by themselves

My vote goes for the CV joints

sounds like cv joint but since u replaced them already makes me wonder. Try checking over your work to make sure everything installed right and check to see if the bolts are tight

A plain clunk sound may simply be due to the rear brake pads being worn to the point where they shift within the caliper upon hard acceleration. My guess is that you don't have the stock brake dampeners in the rear brakes? Little adhesive thingies that keep the pads static.
