Default weird tach movement

Here's a weird thing. I was driving at a steady speed. Looked at the tachometer. The needle was moving up and down the rev range all by itself. The engine speed was constant. Came up to a stop light. Car was idling. Then, the tach needle starts moving erratically up and down. Then it settled to idle, and for the rest of the drive it worked properly. Ghosts and goblins?

sounds like a short in the gauge. My tach has a slight erratic jump when i peg 3800 it shoots up to 4200 so I know mine is slightly off...it does look kinda cool though like a turbo kicking in

Since your car is a 924S you can get another tachometer out of a wrecking yard, ebay or another rennlister and try it in your car. Good luck
