Go with the RE750. They are the best tire in the semi affordable range. If cost is no object then it's between the S0-3 and Pilot sports.

I have RE730's now. They are way too loud on the higway for my tastes -- think monster truck tire drone. Are the RE750's loud too, or did they fix that?

ES100,
Great tire and about $30 less per tire.

I have these on my 83 autocross car and 88 turbo S.

Well they are quieter then the ES100's that were on there before. IMO they're pretty quiet, but then again my exhaust setup is kinda loud. But I can tell you they are worth the extra $$ over the ES100's. The sidewalls on those things were so soft it drove me nuts. Believe me, I'm not rich and would rather not spend the extra 30-40$ per tire if I didn't have to....

Tom, fixed. It was my biggest complaint too. The "gen 2" version was considerably more quiet but any tire with a design like that will be relatively noisey. Give the RE750 a try, Bridgestone/Firestone offers a 30 day ride guarantee.

Matt,
Did you get my email from yesterday concerning Fuzion sizing vs. CCW rim question? If not, let me know. I really need to get these tires ASAP once I resolve the rim fit issue. If you can help please respond to:

sburke@water.ca.gov

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, no I didnt. I am having problems with my old email account. Resend to mharrison@nospambfusa.com (drop nospam). If you sent it there I have not been to the office in about 10 days. I will be in tomorrow and respond ASAP.

...yes.
no I'm kidding. I have buddies who run them. They actually prefer other tires though! You should try some others next time around, maybe?

I'd have to go with Falkens, seem to be the tire of choice for all the 944s at the club AX and the price is nice.

Travis, a pretty good tire, maybe the only complaint is that on the street they are jet engine loud, no joke.
