for a 944, that hood cools our cruise control units! Ya know those babies get really hot when we don't use them

The 931 air duct aided the cooling of the turbocharger by drawing air over it when the car was in motion. Also, it allowed hot air to escape when the car was still.

Of course, the large scoop of the monster 924 Carrera GT served a different purpose: feeding air into the intercooler which was placed directly below it.

It's a good looking car, isn't it? It belongs to Jason_86_ 951. Check out his thread here: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/160745-big-thanks-and-a-few-pictures.html

Oh, I am well aware of that! I was one of the people yelling, "DON'T SELL IT!"

I'm so glad you didn't, and it seems as if you are, too!

my desktop picture changes about every other day but here's the current one. this is my neighbor's mga that he's been restoring. still needs alot of body work and paint and a bunch of other stuff but i was helping him out with it and we got it in drivable condition so it came off the jackstands for the first time in 5 years. huge cool factor and one hell of a fun vehicle. i took a photo while he drove by and photoshopped it to give it a more old fashioned look
