I am sorry to say guys, but a serious situation has arrised at my new house that I just recieved the keys for a week ago....As a result I will not be able to host the T-Belt PArty.....I am very sorry about this guys, I was really hoping to meet everyone and be able to help you guys out with a place to meet and work..The contractors are doing their best to finish the job, but I just learned that it just will not be ready, or in other words I have to much house crap to deal with as a result of this issue, and how much time I have lost on other stuff as a result of this problem...I know that next weekend I will be all moved in and settled in for sure....But that doesnt help you guys for tomorrow...In a worst case scenerio, if you guys want, as a last resort, still use my garage, which is unclean and unorginized at the moment...It was suppose to be done by now, but no go...But if you guys do decide to use my garage which again is fine, I will not be able to do to much wrenching, but rather I will be doing house work......I again am very sorry, and if for some reason you guys decide to do this next weekend, then I will be sure to have a very nice welcome set up for you guys, rather then a house that looks like in the works on the home make over show..........Please let me know what you guys are going to decide to do...and again I am very sorry, but the house has gotten the better of me this time.....

No problem Damian, I'm sure everybody understands.

I'll be doing Madison anyway for Octoberfest - I expect to be there about 5:00pm with this change in plans. If any of the Mad-town Rennlisters or anybody else wants to go, there are a lot of hotels available for resonable prices.

Thanks!

I will talk to my wife about having it at my place. I have only a 1 car garage though so the amount of cars we will be able to get done will be much less. I will have to get back to you guys quickly. (In the next couple hours) My computer is in the shop and I am at the library at the moment.
fyi my place is located 30 miles south of Madison which would be conveniant for the Essen Haus and I have a kick butt fire pit for great hamburgers.

sorry unsigned for not answering you are welcome to come Yes beer and food would be welcome. There has been a change of plans. we can hold it at my place. i will Pm each of you guys with my address and phone #. Please call me if there are any questions because my computer is in the shop and I dont have access to internet. ( I am at the library right now HA HA) People could start to come at 10:00 am and we can go until about 7-8pm. Then we should drive to Madison to hit the Essen Haus. We can grill out at my place for dinner. I have a great pit. If you could bring refreshments and a little food it would be much appreciated. I have all the needed tools so you wont have to bring anything else. Again please call me if you have any questions.

I'm 50/50 now with this change of plans. Doing Octoberfest is up in the air as well. I'll be working on the 928 at 8am in Sheboygan at my friends shop. If all goes well and a road trip looks like a good idea, I'll head down with the misses.

As of late this afternoon I was the only one there. Speedracing944 is an excellent host! You guys missed brews and some good hands on tensioning experience.

Sorry you guys didn't have a better turn out. If I ever win the lottery I'll quit my job and spend my time going to everyones get togethers.

I guess it's time to un-stick.

Man, I can't believe more people didn't show! I'm sorry I couldn't make it - I wound up in the opposite situation as Michelle: I bought another Guards Red '83 944, and I flew out east to get it. I'm in the process of driving it back, and I had to take advantage of the 3-day weekend. It's in lots better shape than my first one, with lower miles (90k), better paint and interior, and maintenance records. I really should have bought one this nice in the first place - the one at home runs nice but is too much of a project...Once I swap my sports seats into this one, I'll be one happy camper.

But next time I'm there for sure!

Sorry to miss it also. I took my car to the shop about the worry some scraping sound I had in my rear end. Turns out I only needed to get it lubed and didn't finish till about 4pm. All is better now and ready for a road trip. I was looking forward to this meet all week so you can understand my dissappointment when I couldn't make it.
