I've known about Kodiaks for a while, know a couple road racers who run them - they're not as well "finished" a wheel for street - they're racing wheels. I've not heard any bad feedback about them on the track. It's really a wash between them and CCW, pricing is very similar.

theedge, I meant Volk specifically for a custom ET55 wheel - I'd rather run Volks than most other choices out there.

Aren't 18" wheels not recommended on the 944?

If you have the upgraded caster blocks, theyre fine I think. Also, 18"s plus serious lowering is a bad thing.

18 wheels werent recommended on the 968 either. You know youre pushing it Besides, anything over 17 looks out of place on our cars...im my opinion.

Blah, blah, blah.

I bet they dont recommend 400HP either. In an ideal world, you would have billet control arms and updated caster blocks. In the real world it makes virtually no difference. I would replace the caster blocks (virtually every set I have seen has been worn out) and try to avoid lowering the car 3". FWIW, Travis makes a geometry correction kit for the lowered cars and from what I saw at 944 Fest it is a very good solution.

As to looks, to each his own.
