Last winter a rennlister got T boned in his 944S. He got Porsche Cars North America to give him an appraisal for the car. PCNA came back with a very high number compaired to the insurance number. You might try the same route.

NADA has much more realistic prices than KBB. Hell, if I could buy 944s for the prices KBB lists, I'd own a fleet by now!

Nope, it was not PCA (Porsche Club of America), it was 944SBoyee and he used the manufacturer of our fine cars. Seems they put a high price on all of their products, living or dead.

PCA offers valuation as a service to its members, too.

Johnny,
I will bet you it was PCA not PCNA. PCNA will sell you a copy of the cardex and maybe tell you if a recall was performed.

Well, all this info is very helpful -- keep 'em coming.

I just talked to the shop and they are still trying to get a complete estimate -- but it's definitely creeping into the region in which the insurance company starts using the "t"-word. If I get lucky the shop won't find a thing, but if they do -- it's fighting time! I sure hope I'm preparing for a fight that doesn't need to be fought....
