Default '87 944 - No owners manual

Just got an '87 944. My first 944 and no owners manual in the car.

I searched the forum and have put in 6 quarts of 20w50 oil. Just need to top it off.

Wondering about a few other basics:

What octane gas?

How big is the tank?

Dexron ATF in the power steering?

Regular 75w90 gear lube for the tranny?

Should the coolant be "Dexcool" and distilled water?

Thanks!

I run premium- 92 or so. the higher compression engine likes that a lot!

Try this Glen: http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq.html

The gas tank door says 91 is the minimum recommended for my '86. I use 93 in mine since there isn't a lot of 91 in my area. You might check your door and see if the sticker is still on there.

Well.
83-87 US spec cars require only 87 octane. 88's require 91 since they have higher compression ratio.

Oil volume is 6.4 quarts or so.

Oh.... Welcome to the 944!
