I noticed my windshield wipers are fairly slow. Any ideas on what to do, or do I just need a new wiper motor. I'm thinking it could be an electrical issue of some sort.

I's say the motor is about worn out. You can lubricate the wiper linkages well, and spray some lubricant into the motor as best you can. It might help and it's worth a try.
You may have to replace the motor, but they are expensive.

I had to replace the wiper motor on my 83, the linkage bushing broke and the wipers crossed over and locked up while I was driving and burned out the motor! Even after putting in a new one ($$$), the wipers on the early cars are just slow. They are a little faster on the 85+, there is a 3rd speed setting.

I know the early cars have the less-than-perfect grounds. I'm wondering if that affects the wiper speed at all? Maybe with an upgraded ground kit, the wipers would go faster? Anyone have IceSharks ground kit installed on an early car and noticed a difference in wiper speed?
