Sorry I coulnt make it. Was it fun?

I got another check engine oil warning, two weeks after I put a quart of Mobile one in. Why would I be burning so much oil?? Any ideas?

Yeah, it was a good time!

How much oil did you have to add? 2 quarts?
Any smoke from the exhaust?

Fun to catch up with everyone, and yes, the Horsepower Farm turbo really made a banshee wail as the dyno pull progressed. Who was the older guy walking around with a glass of scotch?

Winslow's car must be a monster! What was the result of the Dyno??

I added a full quart about two weeks ago, drove it every day (about 400 miles in 2 weeks), then got the warning today. Had to add half a quart to get it back between the lines on the dip stick.

Don't notice any smoke while idling...

Andy,
Make sure it is the oil and not the sensor. Check the oil every day first thing in the morning in the garage. I know you are supposed to check it 15 minutes after shutting it down.

By checking it every morning in the garage, it wont matter if the garage is level etc. You have to get a litmus as a starting point to see what is happening. Also, try a thicker grade of oil.

Great to meet you guys! And Winslow nice to see you again.
Scotch guy is the Workshop Manager.

2 very different but beautiful 968s. Raj's and Damian's

Beautiful job.....how they managed to get in on the ramps....and the car ain't bad either

Hmm guys what do we think of these dyno results.......All be the last 2 are a little optimistic.....it's a stock VR6 Jetta btw. They adjusted the dyno, bringing the '86 911 from 307bhp down to 199bhp.

This beast was howling and barking.....even though the apparently the engine wasn't even running (hmmmm 0 rpm...doesn't quite sound like it)

No leaks that I can see. What am I looking at Marc? A "for sale, as-is" sign?

AndyK,

My car does something odd with the Oil Level light. It will be fine when I start the car after it's been sitting for a few hours. Run out somewhere and stop for 10 mins for lunch. When I start back up the Oil Level light comes on. Only does it when the engine is warm and being on slope might affect it. Oil level seems OK on the dipstick.
