From the news article:

"The car-carrier was "high-centered" on the railroad tracks and the driver was trying to maneuver it off the tracks when Wilson arrived. "

Sounds like an unavoidable accident with noone at fault. It's a sad sight, but the more important thing is no one was seriously injured or killed. perspectives.....perspectives......

I would've backed the 356's right off teh trailer, i'm sure they would've been in better shape crashing from the second level of teh trailor than they are now. or at least the black one.

When I'm in situations where I feel like life sucks, I will remember these transporter/business owners life. I'm sure they are screwed, unless they happen to have the 350 grand to pay out of pocket..

The police were on the scene and had just radioed the railroad to stop all traffic just as this freight train appeared. From what I have read in the pelican thread I would think that the driver was an employee of Euorpean Collectables and is probably devastated by this.

anyways it is a tragedy. the black one is a total loss. i wouldnt be supprised if all are.. but the red one looks fixable from what i have seen.

and the black one also has the uber rare rudge knock off wheels that i would give my left nut for too. (destroyed as well)

Actually... I did!

Looks like the value of pristine 356s just went up!

OK, bad joke. But not entirely untrue.
