What is the fuel rail made out of?

What kind of metal is it, anyone know? It looks like it's zinc plated maybe, what's under the plating?

Rust...that's what mine was. I've had two that started leaking on me.

No idea what kind metal though.

Well, if yours rusted we can rule out stainless, and it's too heavy to be aluminum, so probably steel then I guess. Anyone know for sure?

rust=iron or steel. Since iron cant handle tension, (would be opposite of ideal for a pressure pipe) by deduction it is steel. You could tell pretty easily with a magnet, if it is attracted the rail is steel.
