Everyone remember, I'm a newbie!
My gauge cluster lights aren't very bright at night...how do you replace the bulbs there, and does anyone have any suggestion on what kind (brand) or whatever to use, etc? I ask this question because I know a lot of things aren't "straightforward" on a Porsche.
All help is appreciated!

Here's what you'll probably see when you remove the cluster:
I used a soldering iron to soften the tops of the pins holding on one side of the black retainers and both of the pins on the bodies of the reflectors. I then popped of the reflectors, cleaned them with acetone, and covered them completely (both sides, except where the light should enter and exit) with some shiny aluminized tape from Lowe's. Then I used the soldering iron to re-weld the reflectors back in place. I left the stock 2W bulbs in place. I've heard that 3W is the max you should go. It's really easy to remove the cluster. You can do it with or without removing the steering wheel, but the wheel is really easy to take off (non-airbag). I am assuming you have an 85.5 or newer car. Anyways, at half-max intensity the gauges are now brighter than full power previously. I followed the procedure on clark's garage and it was very straight forward. Good luck!
