OK, so they have ammended it to have any city bylaws superceed the MVA:

Reverse turn

168 Except as provided by the bylaws of a municipality, a driver must not turn a vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction

(a) unless the driver can do so without interfering with other traffic, or,

(b) when he or she is driving

(i) on a curve,

(ii) on an approach to or near the crest of a grade where the vehicle cannot be seen by the driver of another vehicle approaching from either direction within 150 m,

(iii) at a place where a sign prohibits making a U-turn,

(iv) at an intersection where a traffic control signal has been erected, or

(v) in a business district, except at an intersection where no traffic control signal has been erected.

So basically if there is a traffic light at the intersection, you can't make a U-turn.

OK I guess I could have been wrong based on the last one (v) since I was near the airport... But I dont think thats directly a biz area...

God I hate legalese.

And the traffic light point that you mention lol.

Troll, Moron, all from a punky kid with a learners permit.

Makes me wonder if your parents also had the same last name before you were bred.

Too bad he didn't give you a ticket. Would have taught you a badly needed lesson.

What lesson would that be, Tom?

I know you don't like each other, but neither of you are accomplishing anything by slinging insults, other than making yourselves look bad.

I think Mr Smith said it quite well in The Matrix.

Everyone getting along would be one variation/theme of a "Perfect World" and that just isnt possible

I think one way police departments could make some money would be to hold a yard sale of murder weapons. Many people, for example, could probably use a cheap ice pick.

A blood stained hunting knife would make a pretty sweetass paperweight too.

Default SAD!

So, this thread starts as a tale of one person's experience about meeting someone with the same name, and a tale of driving and a pleasant experience with an officer of the law (no ticket!), then it evolves into a thread with useful information, thanks Rich!, I would have thought U-turns on protected left turn signals would be fine, so know I know something useful should I make it up to BC. But then the thread degrades into name-calling and a discussion of murder weapons. WTF!!!
