Default Cam tower gasket: Anyone have good luck with the one at corner autoparts stores?

I have read through the archives, and apparently there is an issue with some brands of cam tower gasket not having the graphite coating at the edges. I was wondering if anyone has had good luck with the gaskets from Checker/Schucks/Kragen, Autozone, Advance auto parts, Pep Boys, etc.

I understand this is a large job, so I want to get it right the first time. Thanks!

The cam gaskets that have the graphite edges, are OEM quality. The edges are coated, so the head can expand, as heat cycles in. Dont use anything to bond the cam gasket either. The gasket is supposed to be installed dry- over the head unit.
