Track costs?
EVERYTIME I ask about any weird mod for my car most of the traditional track car owners here constantly repeat the mantra of "the best modification money spent is spent on track time." Where I live, Puerto Rico, there are 2 main circuit tracks. There is no autocross down here but track "solo 1" time trails are pretty common. 5 laps for less than $20.
2 days of racing is $120.

Seems like pretty cheap track time.
The reason we say that is it quite hard to get power from these cars without spending huge money. Any reasonable sums of money spend get a whole lot of not much power.
Makeing these cars fast in a straight line is very tough. Making them faster in the corners is really the only option. Of course the best way to do that is to improve the driver. Even bone stock these cars have more cornering potential than an average driver can comprehend. In fact even exploring the limits on the street is tough since there many risks with exceeding the limits and these limits are so high that attemping it may land you in jail. So the best thing is to learn to explore these limits in safe enviroment. Autocross and track event are about as safe as they come.
Interstingly enough even 951 folks agree that track time key. There plenty of folks that i have seen around here that had moderate mods on a 951 and go to the track and are stomped on by 944 NA's or 914's that give up huge hp, insome case 200 to 300 hp. These folks soon learn that while addin hp was great driver skill counts for so much more. Then they change their tune and begin to quit spending money on hp, but then work on track time and learning to tape potential from their car they never thought possible. Heck I even know of a guy who sold his 400 rwhp 951 because he liked racing is 132 rwhp 944-spec car better. Funny thing was he was not have anywhere near the fun in the 951 as he did racing the spec car.
So that is why folks say track time track time track time!

The "Track Fees" just get you in the door. If you want a realistic cost, you must figure in the extra maintenance and repair costs.
But then again, maybe I emphasize this because I have a cracked head!
In NNJR PCA, a day of DE runs about $100 to $120, cheaper if you're an instructor or a steward.

I just payed 100 dollars for a full days event at Streets of Willow... It wont be in the porsche, as a matter of fact, it will be in my freinds integra GSR... were concidering placing typeR and NOS stickers everywhere, i hear that we can add nearly 50 HP with enough of those.
Honestly, its a very well setup integra, plenty of suspension work (that we installed) and some other little, non rice things at all. I"m actually really impressed by the way it handles. I can get around a circuit quicker in the teg, then in my porsche. Oh, and the teg understeers much less then my porsche. It is amazingly neutral.
