Default Front suspension opinions..please

I am planning to clear up some shaking issues with the front suspension. I figure while I'm in there, I'll replace a bunch of stuff. Do you have any suggestions for anything else to replace?

1. Sway bar bushings
2. Control Arm bushings
3. Rebuild the ball joints
4. Motor mounts
5. Replace front struts

This should cure any woes I may have, right?

Tie rod assemblies
wheel bearings
caster blocks (optional)
Upper strut bearings (if necessary)

Clint,

A lot depends on how you plan to use the car - for instance, your plan to go to turbo brakes makes sense if you're going to club race as "prepared" (class H), but there's no reason to do it for street use or even for DE - the stock brakes are okay, and with ducting and performance pads they are very good.

The best approach is to pay very close attention when taking things apart, and replae the parts that are worn and need replacing. There's a good chance that the items you've listed need freshening up if they haven't been done in a while, but the only way to know for sure is to take stuff apart and check -

BTW, "shaking" might have nothing to do with any of the parts mentioned - could be tires out of round, poorly worn or needing balancing, bent wheel(s), alignment issues, etc.

The castor blocks should be mandatory - get the updated castor blocks. Especially since he's running 17" wheels.

Theyre damn pricey though. Like 75 bucks. One of mine was chewed up with power steering.

Thanks guys...
~Matt- The reason I am wanting to go with the turbo spindle and brakes is for the late offset. I figure that since I am going to go through that...might as well get the 951 brakes.
I wanted to go ahead and replace everything because the steering wheel shakes after going over any kind of bump. I know it's not the wheels as it did it before and after my wheel swap and they have been balanced twice to make sure. I know the sway bar bushings are bad(Swollen from an earlier oil leak) and the struts are getting pretty bad from what I can tell. But for the life of me I cannot figure out why the wheel shakes so much after going over bumps. (See my previous post) I am hoping that by doing this, it cures the problem I have and as a bonus the front suspension will be alot nicer!!

....and I do want to race!!!
Thanks again!!!
