Well I've just made a connection between my hot ashtray and another intermittant problem I've been seeing. I remember another lister asked about a clutch problem a while back. When the car was very hot it was bucking a bit on him. Well Friday on the way home I got caught in some nasty traffic. I noticed the ashtray was really hot, and then noticed I was getting the bucking when starting to roll in first. So I am thinking this is not a clutch problem at all...but an intermittant problem that caused the engine to heat up the cat...and cause some issues at low RPM...maybe running too rich? What sensor might cause this? Perhaps a loose connection??
