I would really recommend the broadfoot option if you can, it will likely work out cheaper than the paragon kit and probably lukes if you are getting a belt too. But I will let emw come up with the deal... they are pretty quick on the email.

I had maybe 10 emails from them yesterday sorting out what I needed for the kit etc... I sent them one today to give them a heads up about your email to them. I did not her back today from them, maybe they were busy etc... see how you get on tomorrow.

Are you certain that Luke and Larry are not selling the A/C delete kits? After the initial group buy that was done, Larry commented that he can do single orders, they just are not going to be as cheap as the group buy. That is a nice piece of kit, I'm glad I got in on that buy. But I would pay LP for them if I had to, they are worth it.
The one that Paragon sells is the factory part. Paragon is not interested in group buys generally, and frankly doesn't need to be.
Respectfully..........................we are talking about a $150 part. How much of a group buy discount do you expect with less than 10 people interested? Why go thru all of this hassle and wait, to only *maybe* save a couple of bucks? Just pick up the phone and order one from paragon or broadfoot, or email Luke or Larry and ask them what the LP is on the part and the availability.

It is a week away (across the entire us.)
I really really don't want gold. I hate the color.
But it's anadized and there are no other color options.
Oh well. It will get painted with the car.

True... I can wait to take all that crap out! I hope the instructions are comprehensive! The paragon tech site is a little lean on the AC removal instructions.

There are plenty of people who have done this here on the BBS. If you get stuck at an impass, post some questions and one of us would be willing to give some advice.
IIRC, the hardest part about the removal of the old system was getting the condensor out. You will of course need to remove the front undertray including the batwing to do the job. It really makes things easy if you remove the front bumper cover. You can wiggle the condensor out the bottom without doing that, but I didn't want to take a chance on damaging my radiator fins.
In reference to another thread here on the BBS, you will not be able to re-use the rear alternataor cooling shorud once you re-locate it. You have a choice of deleting it all-together or getting the proper a/c delete version of the shroud (designed differently to fit in the new location). I *think* that the new location of the alternator allows for better cooling, but that is a debatable point among many here. Time will tell.

Hey guys check out Lindsey racing, they have the original A/C delete bracket I believe. I got mine from them. When installing it, you need to use thick washers or use different bolts. The bolts used to bolt the a/c bracket to the block are too long for the delete bracket. The delete bracket is thinner than the a/c bracket, the bolts will be broken off in the block before you even touch the delete bracket with the head of the bolt! Be very careful. Use different bolts! Good luck.

LR are the most expensive for getting the OEM part from the 4 stores I checked. Broadfoot included new bolts with the kit I bought so I wont have to use washers. Good advice for the OEM bracket buyers though...
