Hard Start / Stumbling on Acceleration
Alright, here goes. My car died last week and wouldnt start. I replaced coil/wires/plugs and the intake boot which broke. Now its kinda hard to start, sometimes it starts and dies right away, but other times it starts and runs just fine. It will idle perfect and in neutral you can rev it as high as you want as much as you want no prob, but as soon as I put it in 1st to go, it stumbles and sometimes dies. What would cause it to die ONLY in gear and under a load?

Fuel filter may be the cause of stubling under acceleration, but I have to wonder what the hard starting issue could be, if the fuel filter is old definately do that first, you could have 2 unrelated issues. Maybe a dme issue causing the interminent starting and performance? but I have never seen a fuel filter keep the car from starting. In theory this is possible though, how many miles on the car?

just changed the fuel filter, acutally my dad changed it. I wonder if he put in the right one? The car has unknown mileage, im guessing around 115k. I just cleaned and resealed the injectors and they appeared to put out plenty of fuel when I had them hooked up to the fuel rail. Could it be the fuel pressure isnt keeping up with acceleration?

Well, put copper plugs in and she started just fine multiple times and I drove around the neighborhood for about 15 minutes w/o a single hesitation/stumble at alll! More investigating is required before I take it too far from home.
