Yeah, I know - I know. Give me a break you guys... It took me 2 years to get the rear center caps aligned with the valve stem. Probably won't get to the fronts until ... well who knows

You guys are definately after my own heart though!

Very nice.. I love the way these cars look in the fading light after a wax. Very silky and wet.

Thanks - Yeah it's been quite a trip for me since the SOW GTG with me and my brother. As some may know I have a brother with a stunning '87 911 cab with a black top (just got a new one). He came with me to the GTG at Wade's. Well the short of the story, we hadn't really talked for over 8 years because of some stupid things we let get between us. I mean really stupid crap, but we were too stubborn and proud to move one.

I guess it's just the right time because every since the SOW GTG at Wade's we don't go more than a couple of days without talking. It's been great. I have my big brother back and he's still a blast to be with. That's the whole killer punchline to the whole story. We love hanging around each other and were inseperable (sp?) as kids. We just got old and stupid/stubborn.

Anyway - another Rennlist success story. We really got off to a good start at the GTG driving our Porsches through the back roads of Indiana & Ohio. We had a blast!!!

So to answer your question Dan - yes I spent Wednesday waxing my car and buffing out the oxidation on my brother's wail tail with my secrect waxing formula. His jaw dropped after I was done. No oxidation (just a tiny bit) left. He couldn't believe it. He was going to get it repainted this winter until I did it Wednesday.

And to all the guys here asking how I keep my car looking so sweet.

1) Buy a pristine car to start with (most important)
2) Buy a nice cover & store it in a garage
3) Never drive it
4) Wash with normal Zip wax car soap
5) Use synthetic schamies (sp?) to dry it, the kind in a tube
6) Nothing buy Morthers Carnuba on my Guards Red paint
7) Step 2 - Mequires Show Gloss
8) Aply step 6/7 with a small round terry-clothe pad only - no towels
9) Let sit for about 6 hours and buff dry after each step 6 & 7
10) Start early in the day, do it in the shade or garage, never, never, never let your paint get hot (this is probably the most important lesson I've learned on how not to leave spots on your car and keep a mirror like shine... I can't emphasize this enough - cool-cool-cool!!!!!!!)

All in all no real tricks and not very expensive products either. Like I said if you start with a pristine car and keep her that way, she'll look good with very little work. OK - that's my story, and probably more than you wanted to hear!!!

Here's one for the road. The wife and I are taking off tonight for a Labor Day weekend/Anniversary trip to the UP of MI. Take care all and have a safe weekend!!

OK - Just got back. Been thinking about this all weekend. What in the heck are you guys talking about with the "Rennlist license plate alignment". Is this a joke or are you guys for real???

Sincerely,
Cornfused
