no i didn't see any under the cap? There is no way i blew a head gasket that i why i can' tbelieve it. I was checking my a/f and i was always running rich or right on. Don't get me wrong this is a great car when it is running. I mean this thing has alot of power but i don't know if i can keep up with these bills. I might just end up selling it and get a porsche later on. I don' thave the time anymor either to do the work myself since i am going to college now. Where are the oil cooler lines?

Spend the 75 bucks and get a complete diagnosis from a mechanic. I know- we all hate that idea- but mine saved me hours of diagnosis on a no-start issue- turned out to be a relatively cheap fix.

I hope this is something quick, cheap and easy. I hate seeing this- having been there and done that. Take a week off, dont think about it and calm down. You will take a beating selling a 944 with a known issue- it'll be even worse if you arent sure exactly what the problem is..

Best of luck- Get 'er done!

being the most pissed off man of earth til about a week ago, i feel your heart ache.

calm down, take deep breaths, and dont sell it just because somthing failed. things fail all the time.. its a part of life, and it happens when you dont expect it, even with proper maintenence. there is a guy on the 928 board who has always been religious about pm's and belts etc had a belt break and valve smacked the piston making everything go kabluey! heck i had a valve go south on me.. less than 6,000 miles into just getting my heads rebuilt.

ifin and when you come back to earth from your oribit like rage just bite the bullet, get it done, and enjoy her again.

Keep the faith

You need to look at your heater core hoses (in between engine and fire wall. Follow the coolant pipe going above the exhaust manifold to the back of teh engine, unless turbos are different.)

Put coolant in, start it up.. see if you see coolant spraying out down there. Blown head gasket probably wouldn't spray it over your windshield, and i bet it wouldnt even burn the coolant fast enough to suck it right down like that.

Did you check the oil level when you put more coolant in? put more in, run it trill level goes down a little, see if oil level went up. that will tell you something.

I'll second the "easy fix" diagnosis on this one. I am betting its the heater valve hose, from the windshield spray.

When you take a 15+ year old car, and start modifying it, there will usually be a few bugs to work out. Stay the course, its sounds like you are nearly out of the woods, and I doubt you'll get your money back out of this car.

Regards,

He might have blown that heater hose but that would not put goo in his catch can. Probably overheated and blew that hose and the oil cooler seals or the like.

i have pics of the stuff that came out of the catchcan. I have pics of alot of the stuff except they are to big. Most of the coolant was on the side of the coolant tank. My driver side wheel well was soaked and everywhere right there. I really didn't wanted to sell this car but it is costing lots of money i don't have. I have borrow money all of the time when something goes wrong. i owe my parents $1000, my brother$500,bank$2,000 then plus bills every month. Who wants to have a colorado get together to help me get this car running. I will barbecue for everyone for coming.

make the pics smaller. Load them in Paint. Go to image tab (after the pic is loaded obviously) and go to stretch/skew. Put in like 50 percent for both heightand width.. If it's still not small enough, go even smaller. It'll still look fine on the web.
